I was very undecided about the title to give to today’s post. Let me explain. This look was shot during my stay in Paris early August. And for those interested, make sure to read my post Places I love in Paris to know everything about this great getaway. We read this everywhere. Parisian women have their own style, a je-ne-sais-quoi that makes all the difference. Yet, it’s may be because I do not live far from France, or because I lived there for a few years or just because I’m a French speaker but I do not feel such a huge difference between Parisian style and that we can see in countries nearby France. I get that the difference may be more obvious for Americans that explains all this enthusiasm around the famous Parisian style. On my side, I have the feeling that I always more or less follow this style and so I thought I’d share with how I like to wear the style, with this look as an illustration.

While talking about this look, I have to share this anecdote with you. When we shot this look we got kicked out by a charmant Parisian, the perfect cliché of the French moaner if you see what I mean. We took the pictures in an inside court but we didn’t think this would be an issue as there were several offices in the buildings surrounding the court and, I always pay attention that the places where we shot cannot be easily identified in the pics. This lovely moaner even followed us on the sidewalk, prohibiting us to take pictures there as “his wall” was behing as a background. Anyway, it was quite fun in the end and though I tend not to trespass private properties, I find his reaction a bit over the top. I almost said I had an appointment with a colleague as there was a lawyer’s office in the building but it wouldn’t have been the best approach after his long monologue on private property… The last straw was that he stayed behind me at the end, so his wall would not be on the photo, preferring to keep his wall private rather than himself :p

But let’s come back to our Parisian style. Here are my 10 tips to follow it by the rule!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

CHOOSE MODERNITY

IN CASE OF DOUBT GRAP A PERFECTO OR A TRENCH*
