ALWAYS ON-THE-GO GIRL & MY TIPS TO PACK LIGHT

It’s a given, with my job and also my wanderlust fever, I travel a lot ! I love to discover new horizons and never refuse an opportunity to explore and travel. Hence, the need for a handy carry-on luggage never too far from my dressing closet. I took me some time to find the perfect hand luggage for me. I tested several styles and I must say that I completely fell for Lipault’s luggage collection.

I received a complet travel set some time ago and since then, I only use that one and mostly the carry-on luggage that I find so practical. It goes with me everywhere and it’s also super chic ! Something that may sound weird to some ears but when you travel to fashion events, carrying around a out-of-shape and not so nice luggage, kind of ruins your outfit ! I remember that time where I used to travel with this carry-on luggage that would lose its balance any time i twas exceeding a certain weight. It would fall on the floor any time I’d let go of it… and this during that time I was still travelling for business as a lawyer – not looking very professional I can assure you !

I was a bit concerned about the hardshell at first. I always like to bring things back from my travels and having a hardshell luggage leaves less flexibility for that but in the end, it works really for me. And this way, it really helps me to take even less with me when packing. I already shared some of my packing tips in my post How to pack for a city-trip but I kind of updated my routine when it comes to pack light so a little update was more than welcomed !

  • Plan your outfits in advance
  • Roll your clothes to get additional space in your luggage
  • Opt for travel size beauty and make-up products as much as you can
  • Choose neutral pieces that match with everything
  • Limit your accessories (eg., go for one purse only and some elegant jewelry that works with all your outfits)
  • For bookworms, invest in a Kindle, this way you can take as many books as you like with you without compromising space and weight in your luggage
  • Wear your heaviest pieces on traveling day (eg., you coat)
  • Maximise the available space (eg., if you plan to pack a clutch, think about what you can pack inside of it so you’re not losing space and on top you protect your clutch’s shape during travel)

Now that you know all my little tricks, I’d be curious to know yours! Let me know down below!

With love,

France
